Civic Involvement

Projects

The club contributes to the community of Boulder by supporting Arbor Day plantings, maintaining the East Boulder Senior Center pocket garden, supporting the Butterfly Pavilion, supporting the Children's Peace Garden, supporting Care Connect, supplying birthday bouquets for Meals on Wheels, and contributing to other projects as they arise. In February each year the club donates to an International gardening-related project, such as Heifer International or Reforestation in Michoacan, Mexico. We also donate to the Blue Star Memorial Highway Program and the Nature Conservancy.

Fund Raising

Each May the Boulder Garden Club holds a benefit plant sale. Members contribute plants from their gardens or from propagation, and have other small garden items on sale. Proceeds from the plant sale support the civic projects of the club.
