Welcome

to the

Boulder Garden Club
of Boulder, Colorado!

This is our 100th Anniversary Year!

As we conclude our 100th year, we look forward to the our traditional annual Plant Sale on the Saturday before Mother's Day (May 13, 2023) at the Unitarian-Universalist Church in Boulder and the club's 100th anniversary celebration Party & Tea on May 19, 2023.

Our summer outdoor meetings begin in June. At our summer meetings, we usually tour public or member gardens and share a picnic lunch. See our Meetings and Programs page for details. (Please note special dates for February and December meetings!)

Our indoor meetings are held at the Left Hand Grange No. 9, in Niwot. These meetings are on the third Friday of the month (except for December) from 1 PM to 3 PM. We meet at the Grange in October, November, and December, and February, March, April, and May. These meetings have speakers presenting on horticultural topics.

The Boulder Garden Club is a member of the Colorado State Federation of Garden Clubs and the National Federation of Garden Clubs. A portion of your Boulder Garden Club dues goes to these organizations.

Our civic and charitable activities are described on our Civic Projects page.

Further information and club history may be found on our More Information page.

Please note that the Boulder Garden Club is a club of individuals interested in gardening. We can not provide advice or services or make recommendation on businesses or services. Probably, your best and perhaps first resource for guidance on plants, care, and conditions should be the Boulder County Horticultural Agent at the Boulder County Extension Office in Longmont.

BACKGROUND: The Boulder Garden Club is the oldest garden club in Colorado. It was first founded in 1923 to increase knowledge of gardening and to stimulate and promote interest in home gardens, civic projects, and beautification of the Boulder area. We are looking forward to our centennial celebration in 2023!

In 1930, the Boulder Garden Club became a member of the National Council of State Garden Clubs, Inc., Rocky Mountain Region, and the Colorado Federation of Garden  Clubs, Inc., Northern District.
